Anniversary!!!

This is a special post in a few ways. Me and Mr E went away for the weekend to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, it's my 100th blog post AND I've now posted more times than any other year! (That last one is stretching a bit but its a milestone for me that shows I'm more productive than ever before - huzzah!)

Anyway here are a few pics from our LOVELY weekend in the village of Saltaire, Yorkshire and Salts Mill.  Well worth a visit.....
Proper Yorkshire tea with crumpets and butter! Tableware designed by David Hockney

A fine example of a Victorian church

SALTS mill - textile mill operating up until the 1980's now converted into galleries , shops and restautrants. Mr Salt  created a whole village for his workers....There are David Hockney original works around every corner and in every nook and cranny - wonderful!! He's a local lad you see...
Not just a boat but a bookshop on a boat! (I had to get off as I felt a bit erm.. 'canal sick?'

The mill built right over the canal, river and the railway too...
Roberts Park - recently restored - what lovely colours!

All the holly trees were COVERED in berries - lovely

They have an AMAZING collection of ceramics...drool.....

Cor!!! The Mill's Chimney
